Power of If
This powerful message centers on the transformative concept of mustard seed faith and the critical importance of renewing our minds according to Romans 12:1-2. We're challenged to understand that our faith isn't meant to be static or passive, but active, persistent, and trusting. The sermon explores how the simple word 'if' appears over 1,600 times in Scripture, revealing conditional promises that require our participation. Jesus told His disciples that if we have faith like a mustard seed, we can move mountains and nothing will be impossible. But this isn't about the size of our faith—it's about its tenacity and persistence. The message from Galatians 6 reminds us that we cannot mock God's principles: whatever we sow, we will reap. If we sow to the Spirit, we will reap eternal life, but we must not grow weary in doing good. The challenge before us is profound: will we turn our 'ifs' into 'even ifs'? Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who declared that God was able to deliver them from the fiery furnace but said 'even if He doesn't, we will not bow,' we're called to that same resolute faith. This means speaking directly to our mountains—our fears, addictions, insecurities, and weaknesses—commanding them to move in Jesus' name rather than simply wishing them away.
